Last week I took a family to Tortuga Island, off Montezuma for the parents to go scuba diving whilst I watched their two lovely children. This in itself was not unusual. What was unusual were the dolphins swimming right along side our boat. It was incredible. 
My son was beside himself and I felt like I was 12 years old again. Dolphins are such graceful creatures and I have never been that close to them out in the ocean. The couple also saw some sharks whilst diving. It was a hugely successful day all round. You must visit Tortuga Island if you come to this part of the Nicoya Peninsula. It gets pretty touristy in the high season and whilst called Tortuga Island, is not full of turtles but is still a great day out, especially for the little ones.
